BFA in Creative Media
Specializations in 2D Game Art, Visual Art & Design, and Writing

I am a multi-media artist with a passion for creating characters and emotive writing. I utilize a variety of art media to create my pieces. From forms traditional pencil and sketchbook, to digital applications ProCreate, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop.Characters I create go from their conceptual sketches on paper to finalized beings both written and visually.I work using an iPad Pro 2nd Gen with an Apple Pencil, a Huion KAMVAS tablet; pencils, alcohol based markers, watercolor paints. Written work finds its way into my sketchbook pages and onto my computer.I work with visual storytelling, comics, to express characters through visual and written means. When I'm not working on specific character-driven work, I experiment with other forms of art media that demand my attention; costume creation, sculptures, tactile pieces.

Popup Gallery at The RL Photo Studio in Burlington, VT & CREM Capstone 2020

The Unknown Popup Gallery - Winter, 2019

From concept, to finalized art, to gallery setup, and finally the showing. Alongside my peers in the CREM Major at Champlain College, we put together a Popup Gallery at The RL Photo Studio on Sears Lane nestled down off Pine Street. The title of the Gallery Showing was "Unknown," as a way to capture the variety of art that was to be hosted at the event. The series of character pieces I created for this gallery were all about the unknown spaces in between. Where relationships with those around the characters, and us, overlap and leave those spaces.

let's communicate with your higher self - Creative Media Capstone, Spring 2020

For my Capstone project I wanted to instill hope in those interacting with my piece. Hope for their futures, their lives. I created an interactive experience titled "let's communicate with your higher self." My personal experiences with spirituality and witchcraft, mental illness and health, automaton, mimeticism, surrealism, interactive storytelling, mysticism, and spiritualism helped inform the creation of Komu and their Higher Self Board. The project features a character named Komu who exists in a game I programmed to communicate with The User's "Higher Self." Komu relays messages from The User's Higher Self, messages meant for The User.Despite our gallery for our Captsone being moved to online-only due to Covid-19, I still created let's communicate with your higher self. My plans from the beginning may have altered up to the end, but the nature of artwork is iteration. To experience the game, download the correct file for Mac or Windows. Komu will talk about the Higher Self Board. As a replacement treat the keyboard like the board and utilize the space-bar to progress.let's communicate with your higher self was created using RPG Maker MV. Digital art assets and soundtrack were made by me. I crafted the hands on the desk using from Polymer Clay and an Arduino Makey-Makey was used to transform the right hand into a button to progress the screen.
